The gymnastics sessions allow children to explore the themes of travel and balace with an emphasis on promoting quality of movement. General gymnastics skills are developed with and without the use of equipment. Most sessions in gymnastics are organised through station teaching and children are encouraged to work both together and individually.

Gymnastics is a station session led by teachers and supported by parents. There is a teacher's sessions card and 6 station cards. Parents supervise each activity station while the teacher co-ordinates the session. Children rotate between stations every five minutes. Below is an example of a teacher's session card.
